A couple of earthquakes were recorded near the southern junction of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Tuesday, Sept. 19. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 2.7-magnitude quake was located west of Ferndale, CA, and a 2.9-magnitude quake was located south of Arcata, CA in Humboldt Co., both near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.
