Another cluster of earthquakes shook the southern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Friday, Dec. 24. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 4.0-magnitude quakes was recorded west to southwest of Ferndale, CA, near Cape Mendocino in Northern California. Other quakes were a 3.3-magnitude west to southwest of Petrolia, CA, 3.6-magnitude west of Petrolia, and a 3.4 and 3.2 followed. A couple of more sizeable quakes were recorded Saturday. A 4.0-magnitude west to southwest of Ferndale, and a 3.3-magnitude west of Petrolia, CA. On Sunday, Dec. 26, more quakes. Two off the Central Oregon Coast on the outer fault line. A 4.7-magnitude and a 3.2-magnitude. There were also two more on the southern end. A 4.0-magnitude west to southwest of Ferndale, CA, and a 3.3-magnitude west of Petrolia, CA.
