Southwestern Oregon Community College’s Small Business Development Center (Southwestern SBDC) is offering a ten session, interactive series called QuickBooks for Business. This comprehensive, hands-on QuickBooks course is designed to help businesses utilize the many aspects of QuickBooks. Classes will provide skills for the everyday use of QuickBooks’ functions in business including: payroll, sales, inventory, paying bills and preparing reports. This series is a must for all business owners who utilize QuickBooks to maintain financial records! Course fees include a 500 page comprehensive easy-to-use text which will help make concepts easy to understand. Participants can also schedule time to meet one-on-one with a Small Business Development Center (SBDC) business advisor who is well versed in the use of QuickBooks for business recordkeeping. Connie Huntsman, CPA will be the instructor for the QuickBooks course. Connie, is employed at Scoville & Reiber, PC, CPA. She graduated from Linfield College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and received her Certified Public Accountant certificate in 2008. Her work experience includes a combination of both public and private accounting. She is a member of the AICPA and OSCPA. Connie and her husband John graduated from Marshfield High School in 1978 and have made the Coos Bay area their home. A fee of $429 per person will be charged. Through generous support by the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, chamber members pay only $344. Tribal businesses also receive the chamber pricing. Seating is very limited. Preregistration at http://www.socc.edu/sbdc is required to insure seating availability and materials.
