Razor clamming closed from Siuslaw River to California border for elevated domoic acid levels in razor clams. The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) and the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) announce a portion of the coast has closed for razor clamming as domoic acid levels have risen above the closure limit. Razor clamming is now closed from the south jetty of the Siuslaw River to the California border. This closure includes all beaches and all bays. The harvesting of razor clams remains open from the Columbia River to the north jetty of the Siuslaw River. Mussels, bay clams and crab are open for recreational harvesting along the entire Oregon Coast. Contact ODFW for recreational licensing requirements, permits and rules.
