Final preparations are taking place for this year’s Coos Co. Fair “A Barn Full of Fun for Everyone!” at Myrtle Point. The annual summertime event takes place July 26th – July 30th. Along with Butler Amusement carnival rides & games, Fairgoers will experience a true County Fair with 4-H livestock, locally grown plants, flowers, & garden products, art/photography, live music on the outdoor stage, Fantastic Fair Food, and of course, the Rodeo! The Fair officially opens on Tuesday, July 26th, 10 a.m., with a flag raising ceremony. Free admission will be offered Thursday up to 3 p.m. Parking is $3 per vehicle each day, admission Tuesday – Thursday is $8 adults, $4 seniors, & $2 for children 6-12. On Friday & Saturday, adults $10, seniors $10, children $3. Kids five & under are free each day. Pre-Sale tickets for admission & carnival on sale now through July 25th at the Fair Office, McKay’s/Price-n-Pride/Freshmart, OSU Extension, Grange Coop and Milk-E-Way Feed, and Powers Market.
