CBPD release – On 04/08/2021, at approximately 9:41a.m., the Coos Bay Police Department located a stolen vehicle on Highway 42 near Central Avenue in Coquille. The Coos Bay Officer was leaving the Courthouse and returning to the City of Coos Bay when he observed the stolen vehicle pass by him. The stolen vehicle report was filed with the Coos Bay Police Department the day before. The stolen vehicle was described as a 2006 Mazda MZ3, blue in color with California license plates. The vehicle had been stolen out of the Empire area in Coos Bay. The Coos Bay Police Officer was able to stop the vehicle and make contact with the male driver and a female passenger, the male driver was identified as 32-year-old Aaron Lott, of Coos Bay. Subsequent to the investigation, a commercial amount of what is suspected to be methamphetamine, scales and packaging materials were seized. Lott was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Delivery of a Controlled Substance, two counts of Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, and a Probation Violation.
