SWOCC release – COOS BAY, Ore—Assistance is available for small businesses working on recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic through the Small Business Development Center at Southwestern Oregon Community College. This assistance includes confidential advising available at no-cost to business owners, online trainings and connections with experts and resources from around the region and the state. “Our team is dedicated to helping businesses through the pandemic, recovery and beyond,” said John Bacon, director of the Southwestern Small Business Development Center. “We have helped many small businesses navigate the various state and federal resources, finding the best solutions and helping them find long-term success.” All advising at the Small Business Development Center is available at no-cost to business owners and is confidential. Advising is paid for by the Small Business Administration and the State of Oregon with the goal of helping businesses gain the resources and knowledge to thrive. Online classes are also available to help business owners hone specific skills to run their businesses successfully. The Small Business Development Center also offers advising and classes in Spanish.
