Redwood Trees on Oregon Coast, March 3

Led by the non-profit organization Archanegel Ancient Tree Archive, volunteers have been busy planting clonings of a 100-year old Redwood Tree along the Oregon Coast to keep the mighty giants from going extinct. About a dozen trees were recently planted at Lobster Creek County Park in Curry County. The goal of the organizations is to plant 1,000 of the Redwood clones between Brookings and Florence. Redwood Trees can grow up to 400-feet tall and some have been dated back 3,000 years.
