News release CCSO. On February 11, 2017, at about 0817 hours, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the area of the Horsfall Beach near the Hauser Beach Access Road due to a report of a body having been found on the beach there. The reporting parties had been beach combing when they found the partially decomposed body on the beach. Deputies responded, but due to the condition of the decedent, it was impossible to make a positive identification of the body. The body was male wearing only black pants and leather romeo style slip on shoes. The body was recovered and the matter is under investigation by the Coos County Medical Examiners Office.
