Oregon State Police (OSP) Fish & Wildlife Division is asking for the public’s help to identify the suspect(s) involved in the shooting of a fawn deer in late March in Douglas County. A reward is offered by the Oregon Hunters Association Turn-in-Poachers (TIP) Reward Program for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this investigation. On March 28, 2014 at approximately 10:00 p.m., unknown suspect(s) drove near the 1600 block of Melqua Road about 1.5 miles east of Melrose Store, shot a fawn deer and left it in a ditch along the side of the road. An OSP Fish & Wildlife trooper responded and is conducting an investigation. A reward of up to $500 is being offered by the Oregon Hunters Association TIP Reward Program for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.
