Road Work in North Bend, Aug. 11

City of North Bend release – Beginning on Thursday, August 12, the City of North Bend’s Contractor Laskey Clifton Corp. will be performing road construction on Colorado Ave. between Lincoln & Arthur Streets causing this segment of Colorado Ave. to be closed during working hours. This construction is anticipated to take place through Friday, August 13th. Grant, Hayes, Garfield and Johnson will be closed at Colorado Ave. Also beginning on Friday, August 13th, Laskey Clifton Corp. will be performing roadway repair on Virginia Ave. between Broadway and Cedar Ct. Construction on Friday will be pavement removal, with one lane each direction of Virginia remaining open, however Maple St. will be closed between Connecticut and Virginia. Traffic to the Airport will be detoured on Oak and Ash Streets. Maple will temporarily open over the weekend, and be closed again on Monday August 16th, and Tuesday August 17th to repave Virginia Ave. Virginia Ave. will have one lane each direction open, with traffic detoured on Oak & Ash St. Local traffic on Madrona, Maple & Myrtle between Connecticut and Virginia should utilize Broadway Ave. & California Ave. for access. Motorists are requested to utilize alternate routes as only residents and emergency traffic will have limited access through these sections of roadways between 7 am and 6 pm during the above listed weeks.
