Robbery near Myrtle Pt., April 17

News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On April 16, 2015, at about midnight, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies and an officer from the Myrtle Point Police Department were dispatched to 54307 Frontage Road, Myrtle Point, Oregon, a residence, which is about 4 miles north of Myrtle Point, off Hwy 42. The initial call was a report of a dispute where and assault had occurred and one of the suspects were reported to have a firearm. The initial report was that there were multiple suspects and that they had left the area in a green Tahoe. The caller stated that there were two females and one male. The vehicle was located and stopped by the Myrtle Point Police Department near mile post 20 in Myrtle Point. As a result of the investigation, it was learned that Charles “Codi” Lenhart had gone to the residence in order to unlawfully take a vehicle as collateral for a debt. During the ensuing altercation, Lenhart was reported to have brandished a handgun in an attempt to further his goal. Prior to leaving, Lenhart was reported to have slashed the tires to the jeep and break out the back window while Trisha Littles and Jessica Toepfer stole a radio controlled car out of the back of the Jeep. Toepfer further participated by assaulting Ms. Corn in the head when she came to help Mr. Lenhart. Trisha Littles was arrested for Conspiracy to Commit Robbery I and a Probation Violation. Jessica Toepfer was arrested for Assault IV and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery I. Charles Lenhart was arrested for Robbery I, Theft II, Criminal Mischief II, Menacing with a Firearm, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Criminal Trespass II. All parties were transported to the Coos County Jail. The green Tahoe the trio was driving was seized pending a search warrant as was a backpack and cell phone. The Coos County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Myrtle Point Police Department.
