Marshfield graduate Gary Roberts is returning to his alma mater. Roberts, who has been serving as Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Cottage Grove, has accepted the position as Dean of Students at MHS. Two years ago he led the Lions to the OSAA 4A State Football Championship by beating Marshfield in the finals. Following last season, Roberts resigned as Head Coach turning the position over to Jordan Johnson, the son of another former Pirate Marty Johnson. He is also the grandson of MHS Hall of Fame Coach John Johnson.
