Safety Belt Enforcement Central Coast, March 4

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies successfully completed a safety belt enforcement campaign aimed primarily at increasing safety belt and correct child safety seat use.  The blitz took place in February.  The local enforcement blitz was part of an effort funded by The Oregon Department of Transportation and involved several other law enforcement agencies. During the enforcement blitz the Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies made a total of 70 enforcement contacts which included violations of speed, safety belt use, speed, suspended license, and vehicle equipment issues. There are two more safety belt enforcement blitzes scheduled for May and September of 2019.
