A North Oregon Coast Sand Dollar bed has been protected by the Oregon Department of Agriculture. Shuckin’ Food Oyster Company submitted an application for a permit to place an oyster farm on a 32-acre plat on top of the Sand Dollars at Netarts Bay in Tillamook County. However, after receiving over 100 comments against the application, the ODA denied the request.
