The City of Coos Bay is replacing the sanitary sewer line in two locations in Empire. The first project is located on the alley between Salmon Avenue and Michigan Avenue between Schoneman Street and S Morrison Street. The second project is located along the back of properties adjacent to Michigan Avenue and Maryland Avenue between S Morrison Street and Madison Street. The City of Coos Bay will host a meeting with neighboring residents and interested citizens to discuss the projects and the easements that are necessary to perform the repairs and to answer any questions. The meeting will be held at the Empire Fire Station at 189 Wall Street on February 19th at 6:00 p.m. Any questions can be directed to the City of Coos Bay Public Works Department at (541) 269-1181 ext. 2249.
