News release BAH. Bay Area Hospital would like to inform the public of a reported scam. Over the past four weeks, several community members have reportedly received scam calls with Bay Area Hospital appearing on the caller ID. The caller, who is reportedly male, tells the victim he has a way to consolidate their hospital bills and improve debt control. If the victim is interested, they’re transferred to another person for further details. This is a scam. Fortunately, to our knowledge, no one has shared credit card numbers or personal information with the perpetrators. If you receive a call like this, please hang up and call our facility or the Coos Bay Police Department to report it.
