Scenic Bikeway Rule Revisions, Jan. 25

The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department is accepting public comment through March 25, 2016, on proposed rule changes to the Oregon Scenic Bikeway program. The proposed revisions reflect current program procedures and change Scenic Bikeway Committee membership to include more diverse representation. The proposed changes also clarify the role of the Oregon Recreation Trails Advisory Council in designating a scenic bikeway. The Scenic Bikeways program was established in 2009 and the Scenic Bikeway Committee oversees the program for rating and managing bikeways. Thirteen scenic bikeways are designated statewide.
