School Bond Officially Fails, June 7

The Coos Co. Elections Dept. has released final numbers for the May 16th Special Election and the Coos Bay School District’s $66.5 million bond request did officially fall, but by only 32-votes.  Unofficial returns on Election Night showed the bond request failing by a small margin.  A final count included 161 additional ballots and the margin of defeat widened slightly, 50.22% No to 49.74% Yes.
