The 10-day search for a missing Coos Bay hunter in the wilderness of Curry Co. has been officially suspended. Sheriff John Ward made that announcement Tuesday evening, Oct. 25. Forty-one year old Shawn Higgins was last seen on Friday, Oct. 14, near Agness. Both he and his 21-year old son were reported missing. Trevor Higgins was located after two days of searching. He wa suffering from hypothermia and air-lifted to Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay. Search teams from Southern Oregon and Northern California participated, but could not locate the father.
