The two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast were shaking Wednesday, Aug. 11. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, there were two quakes on the outer fault line off of Curry Co., a 2.9-magnitudue west to southwest of Port Orford and a 2.7-magnitude west of Gold Beach. The other wo were near the junction in Northern California, a 2.6-magnitude and a 2.8-magnitude west of Petrolia, CA near Cape Mendocino.
