A 75-year old female was killed in a house fire early Monday morning, Oct. 29, off Seven Devils Lane, north of Bandon. Firefighters arrived at 1:27 a.m. and found the one-story home fully engulfed in flames. Killed was Susan Elaine Calvert. Her husband, 74-year old Martin Alvin Calvert Jr., was taken by ambulance to Bay Area Hospital and later flown to Legacy Emanuel Hospital’s Burn Center in Portland where he was listed in stable condition.
