Sexual Assault at OSU, Sept. 24

On Sept. 23, 2015 between 12:00A and 2:00A, a female reported that she was sexually assaulted on the Oregon State University campus. The female reported she was walking between Waldo Hall and Arnold Dining Center on the south side of the campus when a male approached her. She reported the male assaulted her and then fled the area. The suspect is described as a white male in his 40s with a beard and grayish black hair. The Oregon State Police University Area Command is conducting an investigating and is seeking the public’s assistance if anyone may have witnessed or has information about this incident to call 541-737-3010. The Oregon State Police along with their OSU Department of Public Safety partners are providing security patrols of the campus. They also advise that for anyone walking on campus or in the nearby Corvallis community to be aware of their surroundings and their personal safety, walk in pairs, and utilize safety resources that can be accessed at: http://fa.oregonstate.edu/publicsafety/campus-safety-information Additionally, The Oregon State Police and the OSU Department of Public Safety encourage all OSU students and staff to sign up for Timely Warnings and Emergency Alerts, which can also be accessed through the above link. This is an ongoing investigation.
