News release from the Coos Bay – North Bend Water Board. The Coos Bay-North Bend Water Board will continue the repair of the fire hydrant within the 2100 block of Sherman Ave. on Tuesday, Dec. 8. Work will occur between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sherman Ave. will be closed to northbound traffic between Vermont St. and Hwy. 101 during this time period. Northbound traffic will be diverted up Vermont St. to Union, McPherson, or Meade Ave. Southbound traffic flow will not change. Motorists are encouraged to use caution and reduce speeds adjacent to the construction area and along the detour route.
