A small 2.9-magnitude earthquake shook the Cape Mendocino area of Northern California early Tuesday morning, Dec. 20 where two fault lines begin that run parallel with the Oregon Coast. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located southwest of Ferndale, CA.
