South Coast Jobs, Dec. 7

Total payroll employment in Coos County fell by 50 jobs in October, according to the December issue of South Coast Labor Trends from the Oregon Employment Dept. Seasonally expected losses totaling 120 in leisure and hospitality accounted for most of the loss in Coos Co. Smaller declines occurred in numerous other local industries. Over the year, Coos County payroll employment rose by 300 jobs. In Curry Co., Total payroll employment fell by 140 jobs in October. A loss of 110 in leisure and hospitality accounted for most of the drop. Curry County has added 110 payroll jobs since October 2014.
