From, April 24 to June 27, 2015 Coos Art Museum will be exhibiting a selection of wood art by South Coast woodworkers. The South Oregon Coast is known for its wood and woodworkers. This exhibition highlights some of this local talent, featuring many pieces of fine furniture, woodturning, and decorative wood art. The exhibition will be held on the second floor of the Museum and includes the following woodworking artists: Steve Adams of Bandon; George Ayers, James Berg, Don Burdg, Ronald Drath, Rick Fox, Richard Kelley, Steve Knowlton, John Muenchrath, Steve Richardson, Ross Tofflemire, Michael Walberg, Lonnie Wood of Coos Bay; Ray French, Tristan Holland, Don Lund, Ed Mayer, Roland A. Olsen of North Bend; Jim Hodson of Prineville and; Ike Launstein, Jim Toftner of Reedsport. A free public opening reception will take place from 5pm until 7pm on April, 24 and all are invited to attend and meet the artists.
