The southern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast was rocked by a series of earthquakes Tuesday, Dec. 20. According to the U.S. Geological Survey the largest quake was a 6.4-magnitude quake west to southwest of Ferndale, CA. It was followed by a 4.6-magnitude quake west to northwest of Rio Dell, Ca, a 3.4-magnitude west to southwest of Ferndale, CA, a 3.9-magnitude south to southwest of Willow Ck, CA, a 2.7-magnitude east to northeast of Hydesville, CA, a 2.6-magnitude southwest of Ferndale, CA, a 3.1-magnitude north to northeast of Hydesville, CA, and a 2.8 west to southwest of Ferndale, CA, and a 2.8-magnitude west to southwest of Ferndale, CA. All near Cape Mendocino in Northern California
