Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing an investigation into the cause of Friday night’s fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred on Deer Creek Road in Selma. One person was fatally injured as a result of the crash. Preliminary information indicates, on December 18, 2015 at approximately 11:20 p.m., a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica driven by Lonnie BOX Jr, age 28, from Selma, was traveling eastbound on Deer Creek Road in the 3500 block, when the Pacifica veered off the road onto the right shoulder, lost control and crashed into a tree. BOX was pronounced deceased at the scene and was not wearing a safety belt.
