Southwestern to Host and Livestream South Dunes Power Plant Informational Meeting, Feb. 12

Southwestern Oregon Community College will host and Livestream an informational meeting concerning the South Dunes Power Plant application and site certificate review process. This is an informational meeting to explain the Energy Facility Siting Council’s (EFSC) process and the project. This meeting will include a project briefing by Jordan Cove’s development team to explain the power plant. The Oregon Department of Energy provides the staff for the Energy Facility Siting Council, which will ultimately rule on whether or not to allow construction of the power plant that will provide the necessary power for the Jordan Cove natural gas liquification terminal. The meeting is open to the public and will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Southwestern Oregon Community College, Hales Center for the Performing Arts, 1988 Newmark Ave., Coos Bay, OR 97420.
