Southwestern Oregon Community College will host and Livestream an informational meeting concerning the South Dunes Power Plant application and site certificate review process. This is an informational meeting to explain the Energy Facility Siting Council’s (EFSC) process and the project. This meeting will include a project briefing by Jordan Cove’s development team to explain the power plant. The Oregon Department of Energy provides the staff for the Energy Facility Siting Council, which will ultimately rule on whether or not to allow construction of the power plant that will provide the necessary power for the Jordan Cove natural gas liquification terminal.
