SWOCC release – Coos Bay, OR – Southwestern Oregon Community College has scheduled some necessary technology disruptions in order to install and upgrade infrastructure on campus. The disruptions are as follows: June 19, 2019 10 pm to 6 am June 20, 2019 (up to 8 hours) – Wednesday night through Thursday morning there will be extended periods of time when various services, including myLakerLink and Jenzabar, may be unavailable while we preform internal server updates. June 20, 2019 10 pm to 6 am June 21, 2019 (up to 8 hours) – Thursday night through Friday morning there will be extended periods of time when the entire campus network cannot be reached from outside the local area network (LAN) while the main network fiber cables are rerouted around the site of construction of our new building. Anyone off campus will not have access to our network. June 20, 2019 10 pm through 6 pm June 22, 2019 (up to 44 hours) – Thursday night through Saturday evening there will be extended periods of time when Southwestern’s telephones will not be available while main phone line cables are rerouted around the site of construction of our new building. The Newmark Center and Family Center can expect longer periods of outage as the network and phone cables are rerouted from campus to the utility companies. These disruptions are temporary and necessary. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
