CCSO release. The Coos County Sheriff’s Office conducted patrols focusing on DUII offenders. As a result, 1 DUII was arrested, 3 Driving while Suspended citations issued, one Minor in Possession referral, 2 citations for speed offenses, 6 other citations (No insurance etc) and 17 warnings were issued. The Coos County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting Driving under the Influence of Intoxicant (DUII) saturation patrols on St. Patrick’s Day March 17, 2018. These patrols, funded through a grant program from the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and administered by the Oregon State Sheriff’s Association (OSSA) will have deputies patrolling the roads and highways of Coos County in search of those who operate a motor vehicle under the influence. Intoxicants can mean alcoholic beverages, recreational marijuana, illegal narcotics or prescription medications to generically name a few.
