A 25-year old female has been arrested on a charge of Second Degree Murder after law enforcement officers responded to a 911 call about a stabbing at a residence Monday night, Dec. 30, 7:40 p.m., on the 2500 block of Ash Street in North Bend. According to a news release from Coos Co. District Attorney R. Paul Fraser, “Upon arrival police and paramedics found inside the residence a 58 year old woman who was the victim of multiple stab wounds.” She was pronounced deceased. Alexis Marie Berquist was taken into custody without incident. She was transported and lodged in the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.
