State Land Board Considers Land Sale in Curry Co., Feb. 5

The State Land Board will consider the sale of land in Clatsop and Curry counties and hear a variety of informational items – including a report on the Department of State Lands aquatic resource management program, a report on Department of Forestry management of Common School Fund forest lands, and a summary of South Slough Reserve research related to climate change – during its Feb. 5 meeting in Salem. Land sales to be considered are: – Sale of 1.66 acres of state-owned filled lands at Graveyard Point in Port Orford to the Port of Port Orford. – Sale of a 21.78 acre parcel at South Tongue Point in Astoria to Clatsop Community College. The Board will also consider granting a permanent easement to the Oregon Department of Transportation for a bridge in Douglas County and hear updates on the Elliott State Forest.
