SALEM, Ore. – The State Land Board will meet virtually on Tuesday, February 9 at 10 a.m. Items the Board will consider include: Sale of 20 acres in Redmond to the Oregon Military Department for $1.66 million, for development of a new readiness center. Two requests for release of state-owned subsurface mineral and geothermal rights. The Department of Administrative Services is requesting release of 45 subsurface acres in Marion County; the Oregon Water Resources Department is requesting release of 382 subsurface acres in Linn County. An Oregon Department of Transportation request to create eight acres of new lands in Upper Klamath Lake for the expansion of Highway 140. Purchase of 1.14 acres at the entrance to South Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve in Coos County. The Board will also hear the annual Common School Fund audit report and report on financial performance of Common School Fund lands. The Oregon Department of Forestry will also report on Common School Fund forestlands. The full meeting agenda and materials are available on the Department of State Lands website.
