State Rep Seeks Second Term from South Coast, Dec. 4

State Representative Caddy McKeown (D – Coos Bay) on Tuesday, Dec. 2, filed for re-election for her second term in the Oregon State Legislature. McKeown was elected to represent House District 9 in 2012 after Arnie Roblan vacated the seat to run for the Oregon State Senate. House District 9 includes coastal portions of Coos, Douglas, Lane and Lincoln counties. Caddy McKeown was born and raised in Coos Bay, the daughter of a nurse and a small business owner. McKeown has spent much of her life working to improve local schools and bring jobs to the South Coast, including 11 years of service on the Coos Bay School Board and 9 years of service as Vice President of the Oregon International Port of Coos Bay Board of Commissioners. She and her husband Jeff raised their two children, Bradford and Molly, in Coos Bay.
