City of Coos Bay news release. Construction along North 4th Street and Highland Avenue is currently ongoing. The project is replacing the sanitary sewer line; and with it nearing completion, the City’s contractor is placing concrete. Due to the need of new concrete cure time, the City has accepted the contractors request to close portions of the roads highlighted in the map below from Wednesday, November 1st through Friday, November 3rd. While the City understands that these road closures will be an inconvenience, the protection of the infrastructure is necessary to ensure improvements will have a long life.
