News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On 06/13/2016 at about 3:15 PM, 36 year old Coos Bay resident, Christopher Goette reported that the night before person(s) unknown stole his white 2014 Mazda sedan. On 06/20/2016 at about 9:20 AM, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the Eel Lake boat ramp in Tugman State Park, Lakeside to vehicle found in the water. A person swimming in the lake found the vehicle and reported it. Mast Towing was called to recover the vehicle out of the water and it was confirmed as Mr. Goette’s vehicle. There was no one found in or around the vehicle. The vehicle was pulled out of the lake by a tow company. The investigation is ongoing.
