CCSO release – On February 28, 2020, at about 1236 am, Coos County Deputies were dispatched to State Hwy 101 near Hackett Lane in Coos Bay for a vehicle parked on the railroad tracks. The vehicle was identified as having been reported stolen. Upon the Deputies arrival, the Deputies found a silver 2011 Chrysler Regal sitting on top of the railroad tracks with significant damage to the vehicle. The vehicle had been traveling southbound on State Highway 101, when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crossed over the oncoming lane and continued until the vehicle struck the railroad tracks. The driver then attempted to drive the vehicle southbound on the railroad tracks before ultimately abandoning the vehicle. Attached is a photograph of the individuals who had been driving the vehicle.  The Coos County Sheriff’s Office would like help identifying the two individuals in the photo.
