Storytelling at North Bend Public Library, Aug. 8

At 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 8, Storytellers Northwest returns to North Bend Public Library for an hour of storytelling called Rockin’ Stories & Songs From Around the World. This performance is part of the “Libraries Rock!” Summer Reading Program at NBPL. Storytellers Northwest consists of husband-and-wife duo Norm Brecke and Anne Rutherford. They tell solo and tandem stories that delight audiences of all ages.  Anne is a regular contestant (and four-time winner) of the Northwest Folklife Festival Liar’s Contest in Seattle, and her 2016 CD “The Habit of Joy” was a Storytelling World Award Winner. Norm has been a featured teller at the PowellsWood Storytelling Festival, narrated for the Seattle Symphony, and has performed at the American Library Association National Conference. A native of North Bend, Norm wishes to be quoted as saying “Go Bulldogs!” For more information, please contact the North Bend Public Library at 541-756-0400.
