News release City of North Bend. Thru traffic on 17th Avenue in North Bend, between Madrona and Broadway Avenues, will be closed during daylight hours for three days beginning Tuesday morning, September 5th. This area is located east of Cape Arago Highway. The temporary road closure is due to sewer service repair work to be performed by Johnson Rock Products. Westbound traffic turning from Cape Arago Highway will be directed to 16th Avenue, one block south. Myrtle Street will remain open during construction. Please note that the proposed utility work is weather dependent; therefore, dates remain tentative. The city would like to remind everyone to observe all warning signs and be cautious when navigating detour routes. Thank you for your patience.
