The Oregon Chapter of the American Cetacean Society announces our third annual Summer Whale Watch Weekend. The shore based whale watch event is free and open to the public. It will be held at Boiler Bay State Park, Depoe Bay, OR on July 26 & 27, 2014 from 10 AM – 1 PM. The entire Oregon Coast is excellent for whale watching all year long. The Pacific Coast Feeding Group are approximately 200 Gray Whales that spend the summer and fall feeding from Northern California to Southern British Columbia. During summer and fall they are in close to shore feeding and the weather often provides excellent viewing conditions. We will be providing information and education on the diversity of whales, dolphins, and porpoises found on the Oregon Coast. Contact Joy Primrose, ACS Oregon Chapter President at marine_lover4ever@yahoo.com or (541) 517-8754 for more information.
