The U.S. Coast Guard is monitoring a sunken fishing vessel in the Ilwaco, WA Channel for possible pollution and as a potential hazard to other vessels. Pollution responders arrived Saturday morning, May 23, after a light sheen was reported in the area. The boat reportedly had 500 gallons of diesel fuel on board when it went down. The owner is working with a salvage company to remove the boat.
