Just a few days remain in an online contest aimed at obtaining a grant for a police dog. The Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office is leading the voting with nearly 11,000, that’s nearly triple the amount tallied for the Tucson Police Dept. in Arizona so far. The voting at #AftermathK9Grant continues through Nov. 3rd. You can vote every 24-hours. Odin’s handler, Sgt. Adam Slater says if they obtain the grant the proceeds would be used to help operational costs not only for Odin but the department’s other K9 Raven as well. First place will be awarded $5,000, second place $4,000 and third place $3,000.
