Suspect who Shot Deputy Arrested, Aug. 29

Klamath County District Attorney Rob Patridge announced Thursday morning, Aug. 28, that the Klamath County Major Crime has arrested 30-year old William Jack Parkerson on charges of Attempted Aggravated Murder with a Firearm and Assault in the First Degree with a Firearm. The Major Crime team is still attempting to locate a vehicle associated with the shooting: 1989 Jeep Cherokee Oregon Vehicle Plate Number ZFQ 270. On Wednesday, August 27, 2014, a Klamath County Sherriff’s Office Deputy while conducting a traffic stop on Bisbee Street in Klamath Falls was shot in the face and side. The Deputy has been transported to Oregon Health Sciences University hospital that specializes in head trauma. The Deputy remains stable at this time.
