Deputies from the Benton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a suspicious death in a remote location outside the community of Alsea, Oregon on 4/17/17 at 5:00 pm. A deceased unidentified white female, believed to be in her twenties, was located in a remote forested area. A preliminary review indicates the death is suspicious pending a finding from the Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office. Benton County Major Crimes team is investigating with assistance from Oregon State Police Crime Lab and Corvallis Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to call Sgt.
