A reported suspicious device closed down the southbound lanes of Hwy. 101, Sherman Ave., in North Bend Wednesday, June 22. A bomb squad from the Oregon State Police office in Central Point responded and determined the device found near the intersection of Virginia Ave. and Sherman Ave. was not a bomb. Coastal traffic was detoured around the area; however, the northbound lanes remained open.
