News release from SCINT. On 11-11-2014 SCINT was assisted by the Oregon State Police SWAT team and the Coos County Emergency Response Team in the execution of a search warrant at 62944 Seven Devils Rd. The subject of the search warrant, Richard Aaron Luck (30yoa Coos Bay resident) was taken into custody without incident. Richard Luck had been on abscond status for several weeks. Law enforcement in Coos and Douglas counties had been searching for Luck who had successfully evaded capture until today when the two SWAT teams confronted him in the early morning hours. SCINT Detectives are now looking to charge those responsible for hindering the prosecution of Luck, as it was discovered that others have been supplying aid/harboring Luck. More arrests are expected to follow today’s search warrant. Also arrested at the scene was Danielle Rene Kelley (30 yoa Coos Bay resident) who was arrested for probation violation. A 6 year old male child was placed with the Department of Human Resources following the arrest of Luck and Kelley. Police located methamphetamine paraphernalia inside the trailer following the arrest.
