Southwestern Oregon’s men’s basketball team opened NWAC play Wednesday with a 91-84 win over visiting Chemeketa CC, Prosper Hall on campus, Coos Bay. The Lakers (1-0, 9-5) will next play Saturday, 4 p.m., at Mt. Hood CC, Gresham. SWOCC’s women lost to Chemeketa 53-50. Southwestern (0-1, 4-8) plays at Mt. Hood, Saturday, 2 p.m.
