Southwestern Oregon’s softball team is scheduled to host Clackamas, Wednesday, noon, on the Coos Bay campus.  The Lakers (16-3, 26-6) last played on Saturday, and defeated Lane 16-2.

SWOCC NWAC Multi Event Championship Results
Thomas Crawford had a good second day at the NWAC Multi Event Championships that were held at Lane Community College. Crawford had the second best time in the 110 High Hurdles at 16.41, in Discus he threw 90’ 3” which was several feet off his personal best. Because of a shoulder injury that has been healing since his Swimming season ended late March he was unable to practice Pole Vault he only cleared 8 Feet. In Javelin he threw 148 feet and finished the day running a 5:15 in the 1500. Crawford’s final score was 4884 points and Placed 8th  for the final scoring place. He managed to beat Blake Rhynes from Clackamas Community College who scored 4880 points. Luke Elliott placed 12th at 3641 points. Elliott had a fatal error by no highting in the High Jump on day one. The no height caused Elliott to get 0 points in the event. Lanes Grant Shurtliff won the event with a score of 6731 points and his teammate Wyatt Thompson-Siporen was 2nd at 6635. Murasiranwa will compete in the 100 meters and the 200 meter races. Murasiranwa’s times are 10.8 in the 100 and 22.1 in the 200. The Lakes will compete at Linfield College this weekend in McMinnville.
